Project Partners
Two advisory councils have been assembled to provide guidance for and
expertise related the work of the project. The first council formed was a
Technical Advisory Council (TAC). The TAC is composed of family representatives,
health care
providers,
public and private health plans, and policy makers to provide technical guidance
to the project team. Representatives from the American Association of Health
Plans, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Academy of State
Health Policy also are on this council. A complete list of the agencies and
professionals represented on the TAC is available upon request.
The second advisory council formed for the project is the Family Advisory
Council (FAC). The FAC is composed of seven family representatives from national
family organizations. These family representatives were identified from national
organizations providing services or programs for children with special health
care needs. The families represent diverse geographic locations and minority
status and both physical and behavioral health conditions. The members of the
FAC collaborate on each aspect of the project to ensure that the family
perspective is present in the methodology, the interpretation of the findings
and the dissemination of the products developed by the project team. A complete
list of the agencies and professionals represented on the FAC is available upon
request.
